My name is Ella-Rose, and my journey with flowers is more than just a business—it is a story of rebirth, strength, and the belief that even after the harshest winter, we can bloom again. You may have known us as Lakeside Blooms over the past three years. While that name served us well as we planted our first seeds, I have chosen to rebrand to Jacaranda Blooms because it reflects who I am and where I come from. Jacaranda blooms primarily symbolise wisdom, rebirth, and good fortune across various cultures. They are also associated with beauty, resilience, and new beginnings. The Jacaranda tree holds a sacred place in my heart and my heritage. In my culture, the blooms are seen as a sign that the end of the dry season is near, bringing hope for summer rains and new beginning. By renaming the business Jacaranda Blooms, I am aligning my work with my own identity—a woman rooted in her history but blooming in her present. Flowers have been my therapy and my lifeline. They were my way of proving to myself and I could build something beautiful from the ground up, even when you lose everything. For the last three years, I have poured every ounce of love and dedication into this business. What started as a small seed has grown, thanks to the incredible support of this community.
